Past Years' Bioengineering Day

The 6th annual Bioengineering Day, held on April 5, 2018 in the William Pitt Ballroom, kicked off with a salary negotiation workshop with CDPA followed by an interactive workshop series on perfecting elevator pitches, and professional thank-you cards. Resume reviews and a panel of industry representatives from across the country followed. During lunch, students had the opportunity to network with industry contacts in their field. Undergraduate and graduate students showed off their research during spotlight presentations and a poster session, followed by a riveting keynote speech by the department head of BME at Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Bin He.

The 5th annual Bioengineering Day, held on April 6, 2017 in the William Pitt Ballroom. Several panel groups opened the day starting with an group of speakers from industries across the nation. At the subsequent Medical School Panel, the Associate Dean of Admission for the Univ. of Pittsburgh Med School, several medical doctors, and students shared their perspective. Similarly, a panel followed touching on Graduate School including past graduate students now in a variety of positions. After the networking luncheon, undergraduate and graduate students showcased their research via oral and poster presentations.
